Hello friends,
I keep reminding myself that spring is just around the corner! March 20 is the first day of spring and it can’t come fast enough! Thankfully, to keep us busy waiting for the first flowers to bloom there are a number well-known celebrations and holidays in March and April: Dolls Day in Japan, the birthday of Hans Christian Andersen and St. Patrick’s Day. I have included resources for you in this newsletter. However, there are other lesser-known celebrations such as Eggs Benedict Day so offer a few “eggs”traordinary tales to add to your repertoire!
March and April are also busy months for conferences. In March I will be attending the 30th anniversary of the LANES Sharing the Fire Conference in Warwick, Rhode Island. In April I will be at the Northlands Storytelling Conference in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin presenting my workshop, Enhance Your Online Presence: Blog It Baby! I am also honored to be taking part in a panel discussion there with two talented storytellers, Elizabeth Ellis and Linda Gorham; our topic, Selling Stories, Not Snake Oil. On March 30 I will be interviewed on Here Women Tell, I hope you can listen in.
